Abstract

In emerging economies, technological development is the new source of transformation in the socio-economic and social spheres. Increasing technological developments in recent years have made this process a complex one. It is time for today's societies to scale these developments within the framework of the global network of thought and reflect them in the socio-economic life. This process, which is perceived as a new economy, has made it possible to examine carefully the experiences that emerged after globalization and to evaluate the causal relations.

This experience, especially in developed countries, has helped the development of information technology and communication networks, while at the same time it has opened up the competition for transnational corporations by transforming global competition among countries. After this rapid change in the world economy, the technological developments that gave the global competition a new dimension accelerated the transformation process of economic rules and institutions. This transformation in information and communication technologies has led to the creation of a permanent and distinctive conceptual framework, especially in emerging world economies.

This study will include the conceptual framework of information and communication technologies, the markers that enable transformation, and the evaluations that provide the socio-economic implications of Bosnia as a result of these developments.

Key words: Information, technological development, socio-economic effects.
