The Effect of Exchange Rate on Foreign Trade: An Application Turkey

Abstract


In this study, the effect of exchange rate volatility on foreign trade experienced in recent years in Turkey were studied using monthly data between 2005.01-2018.08 period. According to the empirical findings obtained, the cointegration relationship between the variables was determined. According to Granger causality study, one-way causality relationship between exchange rate and export was found.
