Investigation of the Relationship Between a Group of University Students and Their Levels of Self-Sabotage and Dispositional Hope in Terms of Various Variables

Abstract


The aim of this study is to examine the relationship between two variables that affect human behavior: self-sabotage / self-prevention and dispositional hope level in terms of various variables. For this purpose, data were collected in the 2017-2018 academic year. A total of 134 students from the 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th grades of Sivas Cumhuriyet  University , Deparmant of Psychological Counseling and Guidance , were administered the Sabotage Scale and Dispositional Hope Scale and their relationship has been examined as age, gender and grade levels. In this study, Quantitative-Non-Experimental-Relational Screening Model was used. As a result of the research; The relationship between self-sabotage scale and dispositional hope scale were not found. There is a relationship between age and self-sabotage scale score. However, the degree of this relationship is small. however, in the relationship between the 19 and 24 age groups, a difference was found in favor of the 19 age group. There were no differences in terms of other variables.
